Maddi is an internationally recognized arranger, having been awarded “Outstanding Arrangement” while competing with The SoCal VoCals in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, as well as garnering tens of millions of views worldwide on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram with her arrangements for Locked. From a cappella to live rhythm sections, Maddi’s arrangements span countless genres and styles and are uniquely derived from her wide array of experience singing, music directing, beatboxing, and composing at the professional level.
The socal vocals
As 2x Music Director of USC’s Premiere a cappella group The SoCal Vocals, Maddi co-arranged their award-winning rendition of “A Ningún Hombre” by Rosalía, and ultimately led them to a 2nd Place victory in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella in 2023.

Maddi’s arrangement of Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature” for Locked has garnered upwards of 11 million views across Instagram and TikTok, and has been purchased and perfomed by musicians internationally.
GRAMMY Winning artists
At the 2022 SONA Warrior Awards, Maddi wrote and performed an original arrangement of P!nk’s “What About Us” with The SoCal VoCals in honor of P!nk herself. That night, she also performed alongside GRAMMY Award winning songwriter Autumn Rowe (Jon Batiste, Cher Lloyd), who she would go on to perform alongside again two years later at Rwanda Rocks, put on by the OmniPeace Foundation. They performed a rendition of Rowe’s song “Home”, co-arranged by Maddi.

Introducing, LOCKED. A new vocal group based in Los Angeles composed of four singers from completely different musical backgrounds, who come together to create one unique blend. With stripped down takes of your favorite pop songs featuring lush harmony, they have locked in audiences worldwide to their sound.
LOCKED features Maddi Lasker, Yohanna Bauerdorf, Mateo Gonzales, and Raymond Ortiz, who met while singing together in their collegiate a cappella group, the SoCal VoCals. As session vocalists, songwriters, and award-winning arrangers, all members studied or currently study at the USC Thornton School of Music, pursuing degrees such as Popular Music and Jazz Studies.
